Welcome to Waco

Waco is home to Baylor University and museums include the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum, the Dr Pepper Museum, and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Rock guitarist and hunter Ted Nugent, resides in Waco and writes a weekly column for the Waco Tribune-Herald. He also filmed his MTV show "Surviving Nugent" on his ranch. Waco has been home to various news bureaus covering the Western White House in nearby Crawford, home of George W. Bush. Central Texas Marketplace, an upscale shopping destination, has lured people from all over Central Texas to shop in Waco.
